Shannon O’Connor Castle is a master glass carver and innovator who began, as a child, sketching idyllic detailed worlds inspired by the intricate and delightful illustrations from her favorite fairy tale books. Her drawings reflected these worlds with a complexity well beyond her years. As a young adult, she had a vision of her drawings coming to life in glass, where dimensional details, and vibrant colors, reflected in light, would allow each piece to move and breathe.
