Inspired by the mysterious energy of the Winter Solstice, Sister Moon floats above as we bathe in the glow of her flowing raiment. Carved into a 3/4” thick piece of beveled glass, the artist then added poured resins, Silver Leaf and Gold Leaf. Like many of her works, the three dimensional carved glass combined with the other translucent materials makes the work move and shimmer and change with the light of the room when viewed in person.

Note: the pencil drawing is a separate art work. Remove that from the “Sister Moon” link. It was the basis of Sister Moon, but it’s a stand-alone work called The Saint. I will create text for that and we will add it to the Portfolio.
