First, the original glass was taken back into the sandstorm to reveal more dimensional details in the spaces surrounding the original creation. This new original carving was then combined with the hand print of the original, printed full size, and adorned with an additional original carved glass panel of bubbles and flinting fish to create the multi-dimensional assemblage you see here.

The original Ibiza assemblage lives with the artist in her home gallery in Santa Fe.This idea of combining giclee prints and carved glass gave birth to a series of works that include many of the original creations seen in the gallery, including The Mermaid Ibiza, Cape Verde: Mermaid Mother and Child, Sisters, Firefly, Catherine, Mother Mary, Rhiannon, and Lovers.
