The first in the artist’s Goddess series, The Oracle is notable in that it is one of the first creations by the artist using a bas relief technique, carving glass from the front. This gives the piece stunning textural complexity, which, when combined with color, gold leaf and jewels, creates a sparkling glowing presence in the room, regardless of the time of day or night. In full sun, or by the light of a single flickering candle, the Oracle radiates. Her face is the color of the carved glass beneath.
