Angie is unlike anything else created by the artist. Is she a Goddess, an Angel? We’re not sure, but her colorful raiment dazzles us always, nevertheless.
Originally carved in glass, that original glass carving, tragically, broke into three pieces. Frustrated by this accident, the artist took the sketch that she had created for the glass carving, transferred it to Duralar (a material used to diffuse light in film productions), and added color and shading.
A reproduction of Angie was hanging in the entryway of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legendary vocalist Ann Wilson’s Seattle mansion when her house was sold. The new buyers only kept one piece of art.
High end reproductions in glass or paper are available from Turquoise Six Arts, LLC in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
